Summer Bridge for Early College Students ONLY: ECHS Summer Bridge Programs/Orientation days are ONLY for students who have chosen the ECHS or PTECH programs (ECHS Academy). For information about our Early College & PTECH programs, visit the Parents FAQ page.

What will we do during Summer Bridge?:
- Test Preparation: Prep for the English TSI test & tutorials.
- Testing: TSI Testing - You need to pass this test to start taking college courses.
- Visit your future College: ACC South Austin Campus Tours
- Prepare for College: ACC Application, Enrollment, & College Readiness Lessons
- Learn about Akins ECHS: Student Orientation, meet new Students & Teachers, and get to know your campus and programs through enrichment activities and lessons.
- Parent Afternoon Session: Learn about our support for your student & our programs.
Summer Bridge Expectations: It is highly recommended that students attend all days of Summer Bridge. Additional opportunities for Student Orientation, TSI Reviews, and TSI prep during the school year will exist. Summer Bridge is just for students. Parents may attend future parent sessions and parent-teacher conferences once the school year begins. Students who are unable to attend (such as students involved in UIL-related events in June) will have opportunities to take the TSI once the school year begins.
