Summer Bridge for Early College Students ONLY: ECHS Summer Bridge Programs/Orientation days are ONLY for students who have chosen the ECHS or PTECH programs (ECHS Academy). For information about our Early College & PTECH programs, visit the Parents FAQ page. For information about the other six Akins Academies, visit 7 Academies. If you have chosen Early College, continue reading for information about our Summer Bridge! We are excited you have chosen the ECHS Academy!
Can't make it to Summer Bridge I, there is a mini Bridge II in August.
Some students are unable to attend our longer Summer Bridge I. We have a Summer Bridge II in August. It is highly recommended that students attend all 2 days of Summer Bridge II. There will be additional opportunities for Student Orientation, TSI Reviews, and TSI prep in the Fall of their freshman year. Summer Bridge II is just for students. Parents may attend future parent sessions and parent-teacher conferences once the school year starts.

What we will do during Summer Bridge?:
- Test Preparation: Prep for the English TSI test & tutorials
- Testing: TSI Testing - this is the test you need to pass to start taking college courses.
- Visit your future College: ACC South Austin Campus Tours - Bridge I ONLY
- Prepare for College: ACC Application, Enrollment, & College Readiness Lessons
- Learn about Akins ECHS: Student Orientation, Meet new Students, & Teachers, and get to know your campus and programs through enrichment activities and lessons.
- Parent Afternoon Session: learn about our support for your student & our programs.
Summer Bridge I Dates (June 3 - June 13 - Mondays - Thursdays only): It is highly recommended that students attend all days of Summer Bridge.
