FALL CLASS PARTICIPATION:

All players interested in baseball need to have a physical on file to participate in class. You will be given two weeks one school starts to get that done or moved to PE until you get that done. (Liability issues)

FALL BALL OPPORTUNITES:

Team Elevate is renting Akins Baseball Field on Mondays and Wednesdays and you have the opportunity to try out for them and join their program.

1% Baseball & Softball Academy-Hosting Hitting Classes at their facility-Ask for Coach Porter

AthletX will be volunteering their time to give players extra work in the fall on Tuesdays & Thursdays

ROSTERS SPOTS:

Earned throughout the fall and then additional spots are added after open tryouts.

Most, not all, students they play baseball are in one of the athletic periods during the season 4th/8th. If you are interested in joining the Akins Baseball program, please feel free to register for the class. Understand that this is in no way a guarantee to joining/making one of the teams.

FUNDRAISER:

Akins Baseball (Coach D) & Akins Booster hold their own fundraiser throughout the year to raise money for different needs. Coach D raises money, for Hats, Shirts, Shorts, Hoodies, Beanies, dirt, seed, weed killer and baseballs and other needed equipment. The district only provides the baseball program with a total of $2400 to run its program every year. That money goes 100% to baseballs every year! Coach D holds his fundraiser in October.

HOME RUN DERBY:

Every year Coach D host a community-based home run derby to help raise DONATIONS for the baseball program and softball programs at Akins. This is a great way to get the year started and to bring the families together to have a little fun!

Akins Baseball Booster is a 501c and is always in need to sponsorships and donations for the program! If you have any questions about sponsorships, please reach out to Coach D and he will send you in the direction of the booster member in charge of that area.
