Laura Smarrella
Dance Teacher
Laura Smarrella began dancing at the age of 13. She has trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, tap, and kick. At the age of 18, Laura had the opportunity to perform in the Super Bowl 51 halftime show with Lady Gaga. Laura graduated from Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in Dance. While in college, Laura was a four-year member of the Texas State Strutters. While on Strutters, she had the opportunity to perform in the Dunkin’ Donuts Thanksgiving Day parade, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, a San Antonio Spurs halftime, and aboard Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas cruise ship. Currently, Laura is working on her master’s degree in education, and she is the Assistant Dance Director at Akins High School.
