The Akins Early College High School Health Science Program is one of the most popular programs on campus. It is one of the most advanced programs in the Austin Independent School District. Students take rigorous courses each year and can become nationally certified in Medical Assisting and EKG Technician their junior and senior years. Senior year practicum students have the opportunity to utilize their certification and work in the clinical setting with our community partners.
