Greetings! The Akins Counseling Dept. is happy to be back for the 2025-2026 School Year!

We hope that you have enjoyed your 1st week of school!

Although we will not be granting "Change of Mind" schedule change requests since the deadline for those changes has passed, we are making changes for students who are needing one or more of the following changes:

Error on schedule—not assigned to course(s) selected on the choice sheet.
In need of credit recovery due to having previously failed a course needed for graduation.
Need a schedule change out of a current course due to credit completed in Summer School
Want to move from a Grade Level Course UP TO an Advanced Academic Course
Credit was previously obtained through Garza Online, Credit by Exam, or another alternative program.
Want to move from an AP, UT Onramps, or other Advanced course DOWN TO a Grade-Level course
Fill an Off-Period or Office Aide period in the schedule with an alternate class.
Dropping or adding an athletics course - Coach Approval Required
Dropping or adding a performance-based course that requires after-school participation-Teacher Approval Required

Course Correction Form

If you would like information regarding our Academies and the programs of study /courses we offer, please review the following links. Once you or your student is enrolled in our system (by following the steps listed at the link above) and Counselors return, you will have the option to select your academy (based on availability) and your schedule.
