Blue and Gold Night at Akins
We invite you to join us for Blue and Gold Night (Fall Festival) at Akins HS! Wednesday, October 25th, 2023, from 5:30pm- 8:30pm in the Akins Courtyard. We will have lots of fun games, performances by the Akins Students, and a wide variety of appetizing food stands.
Yearbook Photo Retakes - Fri. 10/6
This will be the student's last opportunity to take a photo for the yearbook. Photographers are in the Courtroom - room 252 - this Friday all day. The courtroom is upstairs red hall.
Parent Teacher Conferences Mon. 10/9
Parent Teacher Conferences are open to all parents and guardians. No appointment is necessary. Parents will meet in the library and choose which teachers they want to speak with.
College and Career Center - Class of 2024 Resources - September
The College and Career Center (CCC) is open to all students.
IDs Required
It is a schoolwide expectation that all students wear their IDs at all times. Students have been informed in Advisory classes all year. If you lost or misplaced your Photo, please pick one up from the Eagle's Nest/Library area before school starts.
Parking Permits are Mandatory
Attention Akins ECHS Students, Parking Passes are mandatory if you park on campus. Visit the web pages below to access and apply using the Google Form Application, the guidelines for parking, and the consequences for parking violations. Seniors:
June EOC STAAR Testing
Students will be sent an email to their Austin ISD email on whether or not they need to take an EOC STAAR exam. Students should arrive at 8:30 AM for testing. Testing is approximately two to four hours.
