Summer School Credit Recovery
Akins 2025 Summer School Program has been designed to help students recover the required credits they lost during the school year or previous school years. Students can enroll in teacher-led or computer-based instruction.
Akins Graduation - Monday, June 2 at 8:00 PM - Parking Information
The 2025 Akins ECHS Graduation Ceremony will be on June 2 at 8:00 pm at Burger Stadium. Graduates are expected to be at the Stadium no later than 6:45 PM with their full graduation regalia. 3200 Jones Rd, Austin, TX 78745

Austin ISD is excited about the upcoming Graduation Commencements. We are excited to hold high school graduations at the Burger Arena and Burger Stadium for the Class of 2025.

Summer ACC Course Advising and Registration is Friday, 4/4 in the Library. We will be open from 9:15 AM - 3:30 PM. You need a pass and permission from a teacher. Bring your pink advising form and your Chromebook.
Course Selection for 2025-2026 School Year
It is already time to begin selecting classes for next school year! Students, think about which electives you are interested. Also, consider if you would like to take the on-level core classes or one of the advanced options that we offer.
Akins ECHS Academy Fair- January 15
Akins Community! Please join us for our annual Akins Academy Fair. Learn about the programs we offer in our seven acadamies and talk with the students and teachers that make them great. The event will be from 6:00-7:30 in the main building.
Early College Programs Application (ECHS & PTECH) 2025-2026
"Enroll Austin" is open for next school year's Early College & PTECH Programs. Join our Early College general studies or PTECH Real Estate programs. Free college program during high school with our partner Austin Community College.
Eagle Time Rotations Start the Week of 1/13/25
During Eagle Time, from 10:35-11:10, students are given 30 minutes to work with their advisory teachers. During this time, students are allowed to go to tutorials, do makeup assignments, and participate in learning extension activities.

PTSA Meetings (Next meeting is Wednesday, February 5)
The Akins PTSA provides and distributes resources to our students, teachers, and staff and reinforces the bonds between our school and the surrounding community. Meetings are on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30 - 6:30 PM.

Library Staff Book Club
Our staff book club meets each Monday. Our next meeting will be on April 15. We are currently reading If We Were Villains.
