Electronic Device Use on Texas Public Schools - (Texas HB 1481)
No Personal Devices are allowed on all Texas public school properties from "bell to bell." For Akins ECHS, that is from 9:05 AM - 4:35 PM. Please see below for consequences and disciplinary action for non-compliance.

Dear W. Charles Akins Early College High School Community. It is with great pride and excitement that I am able to reintroduce myself as the Interim Principal of W. Charles Akins Early College High School.
NEW Student Registration - 8/13, 8/14, & 8/15, & 8/19
Registration is now through the MAIN office entrance. The 2025-2026 New Student Registration will be each Wednesday in July & the following dates. Please bring appropriate documents.
STAAR EOC Summer Testing: Mon. 6/23 & Tues. 6/23
What: There are two more days of STAAR EOC Summer Retakes (English I, English II, Algebra 1, Biology, & US History). Students, please arrive by 9:00 AM and enter near the STEM Academy entrance (to the right of the A+ Bank).
