Main Entrance & Maps for Students, Parents, & Guests
Akins ECHS has a new entrance vestibule. All Students must enter through these doors by the Flag Poles off South 1st St each day. All Parents, Guardians, & Visitors must also use this entrance to check in the front office vestibule.
AISD Personal Device Policy - "No Cell Phones" on Campus
No Personal Devices are allowed on all Texas public school properties from "bell to bell." For Akins ECHS, that is from 9:05 AM - 4:35 PM.
Bus & Transportation Updates 2026-2027
As part of the 2026-27 budget approved by the Board of Trustees last week, AISD will be implementing adjustments to our transportation services starting in August.

Welcome Eagles to the 2026-2027 School Year! The fall semester starts on Tuesday, August 18 at 9:05 AM. Report to your 5th period. Student rosters and room locations for 5th period will be posted around campus. Please follow your schedule.

Austin ISD is closed to students, parents/guardians, & visitors from Friday June 26 - Sun. July 5.
Diplomas Pick Up begins June 22!
Diplomas Pick Up during the Summer! Starts on June 22nd. Monday - Thursday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm during June & July.
Registration Days & Summer Info
The Front Office is Open from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Mondays - Thursdays) during June and July. Student registration is ONLY on Wednesdays in July.

CAC & PTSA Meetings - First Wednesdays! @ 5:30 PM & 6:30 PM
CAC Meetings will be held afterwards, starting at 5:30 PM. PTSA Meetings will usually be held on the first Wednesday of the month from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Click on the link above for Agenda & Details. CAC: Meetings are from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Blue & Gold Night: Wed. 10/29 5:30 - 8:30 PM
Join us for a Community-Wide event! Our annual Akins Blue & Gold Night will be in the main courtyard and cafeteria area on Wed., 10/29, 5:30 - 8:30 PM. There will be food, fun, fundraising opportunities for clubs and organizations, and performances! More details to come!
