As a part of Austin ISD Athletics, student athletes are enrolled for supplemental insurance. This insurance, through Student Assurance Services Inc. allows each student athlete to be enrolled in a plan covering accidents that may occur while participating in UIL/athletics on or off campus with Austin ISD (other than accident during travel). Guardians can also purchase or upgrade this plan to offer more coverage. When a student athlete is involved in an Austin ISD sports related accident, they are eligible to use this insurance coverage with an accident claim form (signed by a school official) and send in copies of itemized bills + explanation of benifits (EOBs) from the accident to the insurance company.
